Erik is back after 51 days

On Monday morning the 19th, at around 8 O'clock, Erik made it safely back to the bell Tower and breaking the record for unsupported Cycling around Aussie. On the same spot he started his ride on the 29th of March.
It took him only 51 days for the 14 500 km and average about 285 km a day.

I took the day off and Jenny and I went into the City to welcome Erik back. Again, not many people turned up. Channel 9 and 10 and 6 PR did some interview with him.

When we spoke to him, he said, his body and the legs are fine and he could possible going around again but his mind was saying, please no more.
On Friday at lunchtime, we are invited to a reception for Erik, organized by the Red Cross. They been the main sponsor and half of the $ 15 000 prize money will go to them and the rest to the Danish Red Cross.

On Saturday morning the 17th Dave Byrnes started over east on his ride to break the record. He is trying to do it in 50 days. So far he is well on target.
